Overview
Terra offers four corporate class funds designed to minimize taxes and provide for greater financial planning flexibility. These funds are designed to minimize and defer distributions making them an excellent choice for long-term investors who require no current income. Investors also have the ability to switch from one asset class to another without triggering a tax event. These tax-managed funds are consistent with Terra’s focus on minimizing taxes and allowing investors the ability to realize the investment benefits of tax deferral and compounding growth.
Terra Fund Management Ltd’s mutual funds are sold by offering memorandum and are available for purchase in all Canadian provinces and territories. Investors may purchase A Class Shares and F Class Shares through Registered Dealers or by direct purchase. F Class Shares have no up-front sales commission or servicing fees and are available to qualified investors who participate in fee-based programs.
The minimum initial investment is $10,000 for A Class Shares and $25,000 for F Class Shares. To qualify for a direct purchase, investors must purchase a minimum $25,000. Investors must also qualify as an accredited, non-accredited/eligible or sophisticated investor and be a resident of Canada or a Canadian corporation or institution. Terra Small Cap Resource Fund
This mutual fund invests in a selective portfolio of 35 to 40 junior, intermediate and senior resource firms active in the Energy and Mining sectors. The fund’s investment objective is primarily to achieve capital appreciation through active investment in a diversified portfolio of public securities of resource companies engaged in oil and gas, energy or mineral exploration. TerraTundra Equity Income Fund
This mutual fund invests in a broadly diversified portfolio of 50 to 75 stocks comprising the S&P/TSX Equity Income Index - an index focused on dividend income. This index is rebalanced quarterly. This fund passively follows the Index and the fund may also actively write covered call options on up to 25% of total assets and boost the annual targeted cash distribution to 7.00%. TerraTundra Money Market Fund
This mutual fund seeks to provide current income and preserve shareholders’ principal investment by maintaining a share price of $1 and is considered the most conservative investment option. Although the fund invests in short-term, high-quality securities, the amount of income that a shareholder may receive will be largely dependent on the current interest-rate environment.
